Organisational Strategy

The Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) is a professional organization for nutritionists and dietitians, founded in 1984.

Vision: To be the recognized leader in the field of nutrition and dietetics in Singapore

Mission: To uphold the professional standards of the nutrition and dietetics community by promoting the growth and advancement of members and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Key Objectives:

  1. To protect professional interests of nutritionists and dietitians in Singapore.
  2. To advance the knowledge and skills of nutritionists and dietitians in Singapore to provide evidence-based practice education and research.
  3. To provide professional advice on matters relating to nutrition and dietetics to the public.
  4. To establish strategic partnerships to enable closer cooperation between dietitians, nutritionists and other stakeholders.

SNDA promotes the advancement of nutrition science, bringing about closer cooperation among nutritionists, dietitians and other professionals in allied fields. Over the years, the SNDA has been active in organizing continuing education for the professional enrichment of its members besides improving and updating the practical and theoretical knowledge of dietitians and nutritionists. SNDA has also been actively involved in organizing or supporting professional meetings and seminars.  To service nutrition and dietetics professionals, SNDA provides:

In addition, SNDA serves to link the public to reputable information sources and provides the public and mass media with contacts for spokesperson on specialized food and nutrition-related topics. The Association also works closely with other professional bodies and the government, to support health promotion and education campaigns and seminars for the public.
