GERD - Can Dietary Strategies Help?

Supported by the JGH Foundation, the following webinar will discuss how diet and life style interventions can help to manage Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) for the long term. The following webinar will be presented by Dr Alice Day and A/Prof Hamish Philpott. Dr Alice Day is an Advanced Gastroenterology Research Dietitian with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Translational Research Group at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) and Basil Hetzel Institute in Adelaide, South Australia, and holds an adjunct role as a Senior IBD Dietitian. She is recognised internationally for her expertise in ulcerative colitis, the gut microbiome, and the intersection of food and quality of life in chronic GI conditions. A/Prof Hamish Philpott is an Associate Professor and Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Adelaide, South Australia. He works in private practice and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Adelaide. His clinical and research interests centre on gastrointestinal nutrition and immune-mediated gut disorders, including eosinophilic oesophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease and motility disorders.
